Short description

Moving Stories consists of an introductory lesson, a video game and an afterword with an expert by experience. Moving Stories is carried out by a whole class. The students (players) participate together in an introductory lesson and an after-interview.

The video game is played individually by the people on their own phones. In the game, players are given the task of helping their cousin Lisa. They can perform 5 actions at a time that might help Lisa. During the day, players receive messages from Lisa as feedback on their chosen actions.

Although players play on their own phones, they can learn from each other by discussing. In total, people play the game for 5 days. After 5 days, an expert by experience comes into the classroom to tell his or her story with depression and engages in a conversation with the players on how to help a friend who is not feeling well.

Educational Value

  • Learn about mental health (problems).
  • Learn about ways to help someone with mental health problems.
  • Learning from each other and support someone as a group.
